Kikohroku Series Sengoku Samurai Incense – Vol.3

Kikohroku Series Vol. 3 continues Kohgen's original Sengoku Samurai Incense Collection, a series that brings together the stories of legendary figures from Japan's Warring States period and fragrances inspired by their character and legacy.

Each incense in the Kikohroku Series is carefully blended using traditional aromatic materials such as sandalwood, agarwood, and botanical ingredients. Rather than simply recreating historical figures, the fragrances are designed to express their personality, achievements, and spirit through scent.

Vol. 3 introduces five new figures whose courage, loyalty, leadership, and determination left a lasting mark on Japanese history. From brilliant strategists and powerful rulers to influential women who shaped the fate of entire clans, each fragrance presents a unique interpretation of their story.

A complete set containing all five fragrances in this volume is available, as well as a complete set spanning all fifteen fragrances across the full Kikohroku Series (Vol.1–Vol.3), allowing you to experience the entire collection and compare each character-inspired scent. The incense holder and plate shown in photos are not included.

Sanada Yukimura

Known as "Japan's Greatest Warrior," Yukimura Sanada was a samurai who fought fiercely against Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Siege of Osaka. His legendary defense of the Sanada-maru fortress and final charge against Ieyasu earned him an enduring reputation for bravery and loyalty.

This fragrance is composed with Indonesian Tani-type agarwood blended with traditional botanical ingredients, creating a noble and dignified aromatic presence that reflects his fearless spirit.

Date Masamune

The famous "One-Eyed Dragon" of northern Japan, Masamune Date became one of the most influential daimyo of the Sengoku period. He established the foundations of Sendai and promoted culture, commerce, and international exchange.

This scent blends sandalwood and agarwood with traditional aromatic ingredients, resulting in an elegant and full-bodied fragrance that reflects his refined and expansive vision.

Azai Nagamasa

A daimyo of northern Omi Province, Nagamasa Azai is remembered for remaining faithful to long-standing alliances even when it placed him in direct conflict with Oda Nobunaga. His story continues to symbolize loyalty and honor.

This fragrance is a simple and understated blend of high-quality sandalwood and tabu powder, highlighting the natural sweetness of sandalwood and reflecting his steadfast, unassuming character.

Ishida Mitsunari

A gifted administrator who rose to prominence under Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Mitsunari Ishida became one of the leaders of the Western Army during the Battle of Sekigahara. He is remembered for his loyalty to the Toyotomi clan and his remarkable political ability.

This fragrance combines sandalwood with fresh green notes inspired by tea leaves, creating a calm and refined aroma that reflects his composed and disciplined nature.

Chacha (Yodo-dono)

The daughter of Nagamasa Azai and Oichi, Chacha became one of the most influential women of the late Sengoku period. As the mother of Toyotomi Hideyori, she played a central role in the final years of the Toyotomi clan.

This fragrance blends sandalwood with soft, powdery floral notes, offering a graceful and dignified aroma that reflects her elegance and quiet strength.
