Fujiun stone prayer beads with a calm color

Among the purple crystals (amethysts), this whitish stone is called Fujiun stone because it looks like a cloud of wisteria.

Fujiun stone, which has a purple color, has been used frequently as a material for prayer beads since ancient times, and is treasured as a talisman to protect one from evil spirits, and there is also a legend that wearing it brings merit.

It combines the impression of a noble and elegant purple color with a gentle white color.

A characteristic of Nichiren sect prayer beads is that one side of the main bead has three tassels.

In addition, there are 10 disciple beads for teaching by chanting the daimoku (Namu Myoho Renge Kyo).

Nichiren sect members tend to have formal prayer beads.

The rosary has five tassels, and there are various theories about their appearance, such as each tassel representing a human body.

The Odamaki and Bonten (chrysanthemum) tassels are for general laypeople.
