We combined ebony, which is characterized by the warmth of wood, with obsidian!

We combined ebony, which is characterized by the warmth of wood, with obsidian, a popular natural stone.
The chic color of ebony and the black shine of obsidian give this rosary a very calm impression.

Ebony is a tree native to southern India and Sri Lanka, and since it grows slowly, the material is hard and it is often used for furniture and Buddhist altars.

These rosary beads are made with a bare finish, where the beads are finished only by polishing without coating, making the most of the quality of the material.

The rosary shown here was made with obsidian as the heavenly beads and parent beads.
We tailored two beads on each side of the heavenly beads to match the ebony.

★About the sect
Regarding Shingon sect rosary, one theory is that it was the Shingon sect that first brought rosary beads to Japan.
Therefore, the shape is very similar to the formal prayer beads used by all eight sects.
The shape is often such that there are two tassels on the front and back, each with a red string running through them.
The prayer beads carried on pilgrimages are also slightly longer versions of these Shingon Buddhist prayer beads.
