Starry bodhi seed takes its name from the countless small dark spots covering its surface, likened to stars in the night sky, with the single larger mark from the stem said to represent the moon. Finished here with the uncommon navy blue tiger's eye, whose dark wavelike pattern appears to shift and float depending on the angle of light. Made in the Soto sect style, which is similar in shape to the Rinzai sect but distinguished by a metal ring, said by one theory to represent Bodhidharma.
