For collectors drawn to genuinely uncommon material, this strand in Indian Dragon Eye bodhi seed is a rare find. In ancient China, a mythical one-eyed creature was called the phoenix (hoo), lending its name to Phoenix-Eye bodhi seed, marked with a single eye-like spot. When that single marking naturally develops into three, the result is called Dragon Eye bodhi seed, named for the three-eyed dragon of legend. Dragon Eye seeds occur only as a natural mutation of Phoenix-Eye seeds, appearing in roughly 20 to 30 percent of any given harvest, making them genuinely scarce. Here the seed's distinctive markings are brought out with an Arhat carving, paired beautifully with the warm glow of amber.
