A masterpiece of a mokugyo carved from the rare Amazonian jade
1. About Amazonian jade
Amazonian jade is jade harvested from the upper reaches of the Amazon.
Jade is a stone that has fascinated many people around the world.
Jade is broadly divided into two types.
The first is "hard jadeite". This refers to real jade.
The other is "nephrite jade", which refers to Indian jade, aventurine.
Compared to the two types of jade, real jade is a stone that is darker in color, more beautiful, and more rare.
Jadeite jade (real jade) is also a member of the gemstone family known as "jade".
Amazon jade is classified as a member of this jade family.
In Japan, jade is one of the birthstones for May, along with emerald, and is known as a stone that represents longevity, health, and virtue.
2. About the mokugyo
The mokugyo is shaped like a fish because fish never close their eyes, day or night (as was believed in the past),
and it means that one should sacrifice sleep and devote oneself to training.
The round object held in the mouth represents earthly desires, and hitting the back of the fish means that the desires are expelled.
This is a rosary of the Soto sect, measuring 13.5cm in size.
Only one item is available. This is something you will never be able to get again.
Get it while you can.
