About the Incense Composition

This incense contains p-menthane-3,8-diol, an ingredient selected for its compatibility with comfortable seasonal use. The ingredient itself has very little scent and does not interfere with the natural sandalwood aroma, allowing the fragrance to be enjoyed as intended.

Product Development Background

This incense was created in response to customer requests for a more comfortable way to enjoy fragrance while keeping windows open for ventilation, as well as dissatisfaction with the strong aroma often associated with seasonal products.

Rather than prioritizing function alone, the goal was to develop an incense with a pleasant and refined scent that blends naturally into everyday life. Sandalwood was chosen because it is widely familiar in Japan and valued for its calm, welcoming character, often used in homes, traditional inns, and restaurants.

Through this approach, we developed two sandalwood scents that emphasize comfort, balance, and gentle fragrance rather than strong sensory impact.
