The name “Gohitsu” refers to an episode from the life of Kobo Daishi Kukai. Historical writings describe him as a man of many talents, celebrated for his mastery of five distinct calligraphic styles during his years in Chang’an, a skill that earned him the nickname “Gohitsu‑Osho.”

Taking inspiration from this versatility, Gohitsu is composed with a focus on refined aroma and graceful presence. The blend centers on Siam agarwood together with Rōzan sandalwood and traditional herbal materials, arranged in a contemporary style that highlights their natural character.
