Kunjudo’s Reminiscent Flowers Series is a collection of Japanese incense inspired by the quiet beauty of the four seasons, created to keep the spirit of traditional Japanese sensibility close at hand.

In the gardens of everyday life in the past, people found simple ways to enjoy the changing seasons through floral scents woven into daily routines. Sitting on an engawa to read or write, one’s heart would be gently nourished by the fragrance of the season. This series expresses such nostalgic scenes by blending floral impressions with subtle nuances reminiscent of ink, evoking memories of times gone by.

The packaging is a defining feature of the series. Each design is adorned with flowers rendered in traditional Japanese painting, conveying a strong sense of Japanese aesthetics and seasonal elegance. The artwork is created by Japanese Nihonga painter Ayuko Sadaie, whose delicate depictions of flowers reflect the seasonal transitions expressed in this series.

The Reminiscent Flowers Series includes six fragrances, available individually as well as in a premium set presented in a paulownia wood box. The box set is arranged like a folding screen, making it suitable for both personal enjoyment and thoughtful gifting.
