Women's Prayer Beads - Quartz and Amethyst Combination

$210.00 USD

This is a rosary with alternating crystal and purple crystal.

Purple crystal is called amethyst or amethyst in its gemstone name.

The name amethyst comes from the story that in Greek mythology, a girl named "Amethyst" was poured wine by the god of wine and turned into purple crystal.

One day, the god of wine, Bacchus (Dionysus), decided to playfully have his servant, a puma, attack the first human he met.
Unluckily, the first person he met was a girl named Amethyst.
She was on her way to visit Artemis, the god of the moon.
Artemis, knowing that Amethyst was in danger, transformed Amethyst's body into hard crystal to protect her from the fangs of the puma.
The god of wine, Dionysus, seeing the girl who had turned into crystal, regretted his wrongdoing and poured wine over Amethyst's body that had turned into crystal.
Then, Amethyst's body changed into purple crystal.

Even today, in the West, it is believed that if you drink wine from an amethyst glass, you will not get drunk.

In Japan, purple has been considered the most noble color since ancient times, so only people of high status were able to own amethyst,
but nowadays, it is one of the popular gemstones that can be purchased at a relatively low price.

The reason why amethyst emits its purple color is that some of the silicon that makes up the crystal is replaced with iron,
and one electron of the oxygen surrounding the iron is lost due to natural radiation.

In stores, amethyst is often sold on a white backing box, so if you look at only that, it may seem a little too flashy,
but when you hold it in your hand, it blends in with your skin color, making it a very elegant stone.

An elegant and beautiful rosary made from a combination of crystal and amethyst makes women look elegant and beautiful.
