Amber found around the world is the fossilized resin of trees that flourished on land tens of millions of years ago, making it a true 'resin fossil'; some pieces even contain ancient insects, leaves, flowers, or bark preserved during formation, making those examples especially rare and of scientific interest. Amber's coloring varies widely depending on the natural conditions present during its formation. Among these variations, the most transparent amber is considered especially valuable, sometimes called 'clear amber' for its jewel-like clarity.
