Men's Prayer Beads, Jindai Cedar, 22 Beads, Blue Tiger's Eye Finish — A Rare Prayer Bead Material

Jindai Cedar ("cedar of the age of the gods") refers to cedar wood that was buried in volcanic ash thousands of years ago during volcanic eruptions and became semi-fossilized without decaying. It takes as long as 2,000 years buried in volcanic ash to develop that quiet, muted color. It is primarily used as decorative material in fine construction and craftwork, but here we've specially finished it into prayer beads. An interesting feature of Jindai Cedar is its color transformation: the moment the raw log is split, it has an egg-yolk yellow color; upon contact with air, it turns blue, and finally settles into this calm ash-brown tone. Its name comes from the idea that it has "slept since the age of the gods." Even after thousands of years, this mysterious wood still seems to carry the breath of life within it. We hope you'll take this opportunity to own this precious Jindai Cedar, born by chance through cataclysmic natural events.
