These prayer beads are made generously with sodalite. Sodalite has a color similar to lapis lazuli but can be sourced more affordably, so it circulates widely in the market. In recent years, however, mine closures and declining output have made it an increasingly precious material. This time, we were able to source sodalite of a quality we're confident will satisfy our customers, thanks to persistent negotiation with our craftsman. It's expected to become even harder to obtain going forward, so this may well be our last opportunity to offer it. Sodalite is often used as an accent alongside wood or onyx prayer beads, but this piece is made entirely of sodalite. The ocean-like blue of sodalite mixes beautifully with distinctive pure white markings, creating a striking color combination. It also pairs elegantly with mourning black, making it a versatile choice. Available for in-person viewing at our Nagoya main store.
