Each bead here carries an Arhat carving, prized for the fine detail only the highest carving skill can achieve; the name honors the Arhat, the highest rank of enlightened disciple in Buddhism. This particular design depicts Arhats journeying together aboard a boat on their path of practice. The beads are carved from peach pit, long regarded in folklore as food of the gods and used since ancient times as a charm against evil. Peach pit is also notably durable, producing beads that are both light and sturdy. The parent and top beads are finished in navy tiger's eye.
