An impressively large-bead strand featuring Heaven's Eye agate, prized for markings that resemble a watching eye. Heaven's Eye agate is in fact the same stone as black striped agate, cut along a different plane so that its natural banding reads as an eye-like pattern rather than simple stripes. Eye motifs and eye-associated materials -- tiger's eye, Heaven's Eye stone, skull carvings, and the like -- appear frequently across prayer beads and bracelets, on the belief that an eye wards off evil by watching for and repelling it. Black striped agate itself is also said to carry protective power against misfortune, making this a strand worth keeping close as a charm as well as an accessory. Its black-and-grey coloring sits comfortably alongside mourning attire. As a natural stone, some variation in pattern and minor surface indentation may be present -- both simply proof of its natural origin.
