This men's prayer beads set is made from tetsurin ironwood, one of the classic hardwoods alongside rosewood and ebony, grown widely across Thailand, India, and other parts of Asia; its grain is somewhat coarse but takes on a beautiful luster when polished. It is paired with Indian jade (aventurine) for the parent, facing, and top beads, whose vivid green makes a striking contrast with the wood's understated dark tone, for the Soto Zen sect.
