Olive Wood (Rakuwari) Arhat-Carved Bracelet, Black Onyx Accent

This bracelet's Arhat carving came about entirely by chance: when an olive pit was cut crosswise, a face appeared inside, much like the layered imagery in Kintaro candy. That unique discovery inspired this design. The somewhat sorrowful face that emerged within the fruit is gently embraced by two Arhat (Rakan) figures carved into the sides of the bead, carrying the wish that "the Rakan will gently embrace those who suffer." The Arhats' warm, smiling expressions add an elegant touch. Because olive pits are rich in natural oils, the beads develop a pleasing sheen with wear. Despite their substantial size, the beads feel smooth and lightweight on the wrist, making for comfortable, well-reviewed everyday wear.
