Charoite, along with Sugilite and Larimar, is one of the world's three major healing stones.

As the name "healing stone" suggests, it is said to have strong healing powers and a very strong purifying effect.


There are two theories about the name Charoite: one is that it was discovered in the Charo River basin in Siberia, and the other is that it was named after the Russian word Charo (meaning to seduce).

It was officially recognized as Charoite in 1978, thanks to years of research by mineralogist Béla Rogova.


Charoite is characterized by its purple and opaque color,
and is a stone similar to Sugilite,
but the purple and white marble patterns blend together as if paint had been applied with a brush, creating a mysterious color.
