Cubic zirconia is a lab-created stone sometimes described as a diamond simulant; where natural diamond forms from carbon over hundreds of millions of years under intense heat and pressure, cubic zirconia is produced synthetically, with a refractive index that comes remarkably close to diamond's own brilliance and a hardness surpassed only by diamond, sapphire, and ruby. Natural diamonds often carry internal inclusions depending on their cut and grade, with flawless stones commanding a steep premium; this cubic zirconia, by contrast, offers a notably clean, stable sparkle at a much more accessible price, with a substantial weight in the hand that echoes the genuine article. Finished with a mint tassel. Only one piece is available.
