Tourmaline occurs in a wide range of colors – colorless, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black – and is known for generating a faint electrical charge along with negative ions, giving it a reputation as a gentle, soothing stone. Once relatively affordable, tourmaline prices have climbed sharply as mining sources have been depleted, making it an increasingly valuable material. Pink tourmaline, referring to the pink variety, is especially rare and seldom available. This piece uses only the highest grade of pink tourmaline, with every bead showing a deep, saturated color close to the wine-red of fine garnet – a one-off piece we cannot guarantee will be available again.
