Good-quality amber prayer beads are hard to come by, and aged amber – amber that has continued to develop over an even longer period of time – is rarer still. Ordinary yellow amber gradually deepens toward orange when exposed to heat over long stretches of time; this piece began as a yellow amber that, with the passing years and the gentle warmth of geothermal heat, matured into its current rich, orange tone. Amber is also notably lightweight, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods without fatigue. Only one piece is available.
