This bracelet combines the beautiful natural stone larimar with a soft blue-and-white color, accented with three Inca rose (rhodochrosite) beads. Larimar is found only at the Barahona mine in the southern Dominican Republic, making it a rare stone; its name was coined by a Dominican craftsman who combined his daughter's name, Larissa, with 'mar,' the Spanish word for sea. Mineralogically known as blue pectolite, larimar is regarded as one of the world's three great healing stones. Production has declined year over year as the mine nears depletion, making it increasingly difficult to source, and prices continue to rise. Compared with turquoise, larimar has a brighter tone, with white marbling blending beautifully into its light blue base – a striking, sea-inspired accent for the wrist that suits any age. As larimar is a natural stone, occasional small surface marks may be present. Only one piece is available.
