Tabu Powder Incense Material
Tabu Powder Incense Material – Powder
Tabu powder is a foundational incense material used primarily as a natural binder in the production of Japanese-style incense.
Tabu powder serves as the base ingredient in many traditional incense formulations. When mixed with water, it develops a gentle viscosity that allows incense mixtures to be shaped into sticks, cones, coils, or molded forms before being air-dried. For this reason, tabu powder is regarded as an essential material in incense making, particularly for stick incense.
Most Japanese incense products are made using tabu powder as their connecting and forming medium. Its role is functional rather than aromatic, providing structure and cohesion to blended incense powders during shaping and drying.
Tabu powder itself has very little natural scent. Any aroma from the material is mild and generally does not interfere with other fragrance ingredients, allowing aromatic materials to express their intended character without disruption.
Because of its versatility, tabu powder is suitable for a wide range of incense styles, including stick incense, cone incense, spiral incense, and pressed or molded forms.
This product is offered exclusively as a material for incense making. Please note that it is not intended for food use and should be used only for incense crafting.
