Zuiun‑koh Japanese Incense Series Illustrated by Akira Himekawa

“Zuiun‑koh” is an original Japanese incense collection created in collaboration with manga artist and illustrator Akira Himekawa. Each fragrance is designed to harmonize with the mood of Himekawa‑sensei’s artwork, allowing you to enjoy both the visual world and the aroma together.

May this incense bring auspicious fortune—zuiun—to those who hold it.

Shiten Shinrō (Four Heavenly Wolf)

Illustration: The wolf, also known as “Ōkuchi‑no‑Magami,” is a deified Japanese wolf revered since ancient times as a guardian beast that wards off misfortune and guides travelers.

Fragrance: Imagined as a messenger that carries good fortune, this blend features Indonesian agarwood (jinkoh) refined with several traditional natural ingredients for a calm, composed depth.

Kyūbi‑no‑Kitsune (Nine‑Tailed Fox)

Illustration: In Japan the nine‑tailed fox is famed as a great yōkai, while in ancient China it was counted among auspicious spirit beasts. Here the divine fox rises from flame, dances, and proclaims good omens.

Fragrance: A powerful, festive impression built around premium Indian sandalwood (byakudan), arranged to feel radiant and bold.

Karitaka (Hunting Hawk)

Illustration: In the traditional 72 micro‑seasons, “Taka sunawachi waza o narau” marks the time when young hawks practice hunting and prepare to leave the nest. The soaring hawk has long been a lucky emblem.

Fragrance: Inspired by a female falconer—an elegant rose accord interwoven with classical incense materials, conveying courtly grace with a dignified finish.
