Shoyeido Pressed Incense – Inkoh Hime no Ka
Seasonal Shaped Incense with Gentle Nuance
About Inkoh Hime no Ka
Inkoh Hime no Ka is a collection of shaped incense designed to reflect the shifting moods of the four seasons. The fragrances move gently from soft floral tones to calm, wood-based nuances, offering a quiet and contemplative aromatic experience.
Fragrance Variations
Spring Blossom
A moist and tender sweetness reminiscent of plum blossoms.
Summer Green
A cool, fresh scent suggesting new leaves stirred by early-summer light.
Autumn Dusk
A rich, mellow sweetness evoking foliage at sunset.
Winter Dawn
A clear and crisp impression like the stillness of cold morning air.
How to Enjoy Inkoh (Soradaki / Indirect Heating)
Inkoh is warmed rather than burned directly. Prepare a small piece of charcoal and ignite it to warm the ash in an incense burner.
When embedding the charcoal in the ash
Allow the ash to warm, then place the Inkoh on the ash surface so the fragrance rises gently without smoke or flame.
When placing the charcoal on top of the ash
Warm the ash surface, then set the Inkoh on the ash near—but not touching—the charcoal. Leave a slight gap so heat is transmitted without direct contact.
This indirect style allows the shaped incense to release its subtle aroma slowly and cleanly.
