The Kohden series by Nippon Kodo is inspired by the fragrances that once traveled along the Silk Road and by arabesque motifs that came to symbolize the transmission of incense culture across regions and generations. Presented in small boxes adorned with traditional karakusa patterns, this incense was named Kohden, meaning “the transmission of fragrance.” Each scent is intended to convey thought and sentiment through aroma, offering a gentle and reflective experience.
