Labradorite is prized for its mysterious play of blue light across its surface, often likened to the iridescent wings of a swallowtail butterfly, shifting in color with every turn of the light. Its overall gray tone gives a chic, understated impression, and its cosmic, shifting color is said to sharpen intuition and insight. Every bead in this piece shows excellent color and quality. This piece follows the formal Nichiren-sect style, distinguished by three tassels attached to one side of the parent bead along with ten counting beads used for chanting the sect's core invocation; a full formal set traditionally carries five tassels, each said by various traditions to represent a part of the human body.
